Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution is a 3D fighting video game. The game features characters from the Naruto franchise and utilizes two unique control schemes, one for the PlayStation 3 and 4 and one for the Xbox 360 and One. As of 31 October 2015, the game has sold 2 million copies worldwide. The story follows Naruto Uzumaki as he sets off on his first training mission with Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno to be trained by Kakashi Hatake as they enter Konoha Academy. It takes place immediately after the events of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations. The game was announced in the November issue of the Japanese Shonen Jump magazine. The game was announced to be released in late 2013 in Japan, Europe, and North America for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. On February 27, Namco Bandai games released a new trailer on their official site for Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution. In Europe it was released on April 18 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at both retail stores and digitally via PlayStation Network and Xbox Live respectively. The game was released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 20, 2015 in Japan. It was also released digitally in North America and Europe on October 21, 2015. A "Gold Edition" version of the game was announced at the Tokyo Game Show in 2014, to be released on March 12, 2015 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which will include all downloadable characters (excluding pre-order bonus Fugazawn) and an exclusive Naruto costume for Road to Boruto.The game has received mostly positive reviews. The Nintendo 3DS version received an average of 73 out of 100 based on 5 reviews, according to review aggregator Metacritic.
